ILLEA — Handicrafts, Fashion, and Social Development

Fashion with Purpose is a social project developed by the Latin American Institute of Environmental Studies – ILLEA, designed to promote social inclusion, income generation and the appreciation of handmade work carried out by women from different regions of Brazil.
The initiative encourages the transformation of fabric scraps, textiles and reused materials into unique handmade clothing and products, combining creativity, cultural identity and sustainability. The project follows the principles of the circular economy by reducing waste and keeping materials in use for longer.
In addition to production, the project includes training, technical development and support for female entrepreneurship, strengthening the participants financial independence.
The products may become part of the future ILLEA Store, giving value to handmade products and highlighting the stories of the women who create them.
Curiosity: each piece can represent a combination of art, sustainability, culture and social transformation.
